Delta-8 THC and CBD Products

What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 tetrahydrocannabinol is referred to as Δ8THC, this isomer naturally occurs within the cannabis plants and is referred to as a cannabinoid.  THC is the prime psychoactive component of cannabis. THC or commonly known as Delta 9 THC is the most known of the cannabinoids.  Although it has such a large following, by no means is the only cannabinoid that produces a psychoactive effect, this is where Delta 8 THC comes into play.

How is it formed?

Delta 8 THC is derived from the hemp stevia-L plant. A part of it converts to isomer and has a similar molecular structure. This is known as Delta 8 THC. In short, it is referred to as Δ8THC.

The cannabinoid Δ8THC naturally occurs in the CBD hemp flower. However, it is available in quite low concentration. This can be extracted legally with safe manufacturing processes with help of different cannabinoids. It can be prepared in a concentrated form and consumed in a variety of ways.

Using delta-8 THC

Delta 8 THC is concentrated in distillate form, as it is available in quite low amounts within the cannabis hemp Stavia-L plant. A thick and translucent liquid is available after distillation and looks very similar to a CBD distillate. The Extraction process involves several steps, in which the plant undergoes various levels of refinement. These steps include extraction, then winterization, and finally decarboxylation.
